Holistic Wellness

Office of Prevention and Education at Northeastern (OPEN)
The Office of Prevention and Education at Northeastern provides prevention and education services on the topics of alcohol and other drugs, sexual violence, and sexual health. We seek to provide supportive, accessible and non-judgmental services to students as well as to engage our community on wellness-related topics.
Wellness Specialists
Navigate to the “Departmental and Campus Advisors” section to find Wellness Program Specialists (WPS) at Northeastern. The WPS serves as the network campuses’ main contact person to support students in their health and well-being. Specialist can connect students with appropriate support in all areas of wellness and provides proactive programming. The role is not that of a counsellor or mental health professional, but as a navigator and liaison to available resources.
CSL Programming
Cultural & Spiritual Life hosts several Months and Weeks, or Signature Events, dedicated to a multitude of identities throughout each year. Celebrating our heritages, histories, and all the intricacies of our most authentic selves are crucial pieces of Building Understanding, Educating Across Difference, and Empowering One Another.
FUNL Network
Northeastern has a variety of resources available across the global network for students who identify as First-Gen, Undocumented, and/or Low-Income. The CIE has created a FUNL Canvas course to help learners find these resources when needed. If you are looking for resources specific to the FUNL experience, you can enroll in this Canvas Course.
Peer to Peer Resourcing
If you are interested in being connected to fellow students who have similar interests or similar social identities, please reach out to any of the Cultural & Spiritual Life offices to find a student organization that is a good fit!
We Care
We Care is an extended network of support services that provides help and encouragement to Northeastern students who are experiencing unexpected challenges in their personal or academic life, to embolden them so they can succeed. We Care is available to all Northeastern University students, wherever they are studying.
UHCS Support Groups
University Health and Counseling Services offers a variety of groups each term in an effort to support your varying needs. We are happy to help you find the best fit for you. All groups provide a nonjudgmental and confidential space in which to learn as well as to receive and offer support. You’ll explore different perspectives and new ways of coping. Groups are a brave space for personal connection and personal growth.
Spiritual Advising
Northeastern’s one-on-one Spiritual Advising sessions are available to all members of the student community. In a one-on-one meeting, Spiritual Advisors (SAs) offer assistance and support for a wide range of spiritual and personal needs. You can schedule a spiritual advising meeting here!
Wellness Programs
The Center for Spirituality, Dialogue, and Service provides various wellness programs including mindfulness on a regular basis.
