Lisa Morde (she/her) joined Northeastern in November 2022 as the Assistant Director in Community Service and Civic Engagement (CSCE), overseeing the Alliance of Civically Engaged Students (ACES) program. She is passionate about working with students as they consider their role in community engagement and social change. Her work is grounded in a master’s degree in Social Justice Education, from the University of Massachusetts, at Amherst.
She was born in Ohio and has spent time working at an international development, non-profit organization in Washington, DC; an English tutoring company outside of Tokyo, Japan; a community service site in the Galapagos Islands of Ecuador; TV and movie sets in Los Angeles, California; and college and universities in Ohio and Massachusetts. She is thankful to call Massachusetts her home now, and lives here with her spouse, young child, old dog, and middle-aged cat.
