The Center for Intercultural Engagement (CIE) is centrally located on the first and third floors of the Curry Student Center. Our space features three distinct programming areas with flexible set-up options, ideal for small group discussions, training sessions, or film screenings.
We welcome space reservation requests from recognized student organizations and university departments. Please read the following guidelines before submitting your request:
1. Submit in Advance
Requests must be submitted at the start of the academic year and at least two weeks in advance of your requested reservation date. Submitting this form does not guarantee a reservation. If approved, a CIE staff member will confirm your reservation.
2. Hours of Operation
CIE spaces are open Monday-Friday, 9:00 am – 7:30 pm (144 CSC) and 9:00 am – 6:00 pm (328 CSC). We’re closed on weekends, holidays, and during university breaks. CIE spaces are available after hours and on weekends for CIE-affiliated clubs with the Director’s approval.
3. Room Setup
Spaces are available as-is. You may rearrange the furniture, but it must be returned to its original layout. Failure to do so may result in incidental costs and a written warning.
4. Timely Departure
Please plan your event to ensure you vacate the space on time. Other groups may be scheduled immediately after yours.
5. Available Spaces
CIE (144 CSC): Front Room (~40 capacity); Middle Room (~60 capacity). Equipment includes: TVs, HDMI connections, microphones, speakers, and a microwave.
CIE’s FUNL Lounge (328 CSC): ~15-20 capacity. Equipment includes: fridge, microwave, toaster oven, and TV.
6. AV Support
TVs, microphones, and hybrid meeting equipment are available. However, you must pre-arrange for your technical support as CIE staff may not be available to assist you.
7. Supplies
Use of CIE supplies is not permitted. Unauthorized use may result in incidental costs.
8. Respect the Space
Help keep the CIE clean and welcoming. Make sure to wipe down used surfaces, dispose of trash and recycling properly, and leave the space in good condition. Failure to do so may result in incidental costs.
9. Student Organization Responsibility
All student organizations must follow the Center for Student Involvement (CSI), CIE, and university policies.
